Got to know of your blog from you mother who was on the same flight as me from Austin to Fort Lauderdale!
We are considering a hike up one of the 14ers this August. We reside in Austin and are not particularly good or experienced at climbing (though we did Mt. St. Helens last Aug and it was a fantastic 15 hour hike with an elevation gain of about 4500 feet I think)

Thanks for checking out our site. We are slowly trying to summit all of colorado’s 14ers…so far we have done 14. Our favorite thus far was Mt. of the Holy Cross which is near Vail, Co. It makes for a long, long day, but is very rewarding. Mt. Elbert is also really beautiful and you guys could say you climbed the highest peak in Colorado!. Anyways, let us know what you guys decide and happy hiking.
